Sport England have just launched a tool for analysing Active People Survey (APS) data. It’s called Active People Interactive and is available at http://activepeople.sportengland.org/. I’ve been using it for a while and it’s absolutely amazing. Much better than their old Active People Diagnostic, which was almost impossible to use.
It offers quick and easy access to a huge amount of data, allowing you to create your own analysis tailored to your areas of interest, be that specific sports, geographic areas and/or demographic groups. You can also easily see trends over time as the tool includes data from APS1 up to the most recent release, APS7 Q2. It will be updated with the full year of APS 7 data in January 2014.
There is a short introductory video on how to use the tool on the home page to help you get started and further support is available in the help section.
