Effective marketing to engage
Do you struggle to reach your target audience?
It can be frustrating trying to engage hard-to-reach audiences such as women and girls, disabled people, over 65s and people from lower socio-economic groups. You might find that you’re putting on new activity sessions only to have the same people turning up, instead of the inactive people you’re trying to reach. And that people ask for a certain session, but then don’t turn up, even though it’s what they say they want.
You don’t need to put on more activities you need better marketing.
Make Sport Fun was set up in 2008 to help organisations in sport and activity with their marketing.
Make Sport Fun are marketing and behaviour change experts. We run campaigns and training for councils, charities, NGBs and leisure trusts to increase participation in sport and activity, particularly amongst hard-to-reach groups.
We believe sport should be fun (hence the name – Make Sport Fun). We don’t preach. We don’t lecture. We just help people find an activity they want to do, somewhere close to them, at a time that fits with their schedule. And it works. In a recent campaign 70% of people we talked to started an activity.
Used by leading sport and activity organisations everywhere.
