How did they make it such a success?
One of the key elements was a Facebook Ad campaign to engage local people. But first about the event itself.
On Sunday 4th of June, around 200 people took to Panshanger Park to take part in free walks, sports, an obstacle course and craft activities.
This was an event designed to encourage all the family to get active and celebrate MOVE WEEK 2017.
MOVE WEEK is an annual Europe-wide campaign promoting sport, physical activity and the positive impact on society they bring.
Our job was to drive interest in the event and to engage as many people as possible.
We set up and ran a 2-week Facebook lead ad campaign to promote the event at Panshanger Park to women aged 35 to 55 with kids five and older, living within 6 mile radius of the park. We reached over 5000 local people with this ad. Even though 41 of them signed up for more details, seeing the ad in the newsfeed was enough to generate enough interest and spread the word about this amazing event.
“MOVE Week this year has been a tremendous success. “This was such a great event, and despite being in a really rural location we had 200 people turning up. I was really quite surprised how many people we were able to interact with via Facebook Ads. It brought in more phone calls than we’d ever had! That’s amazing.
“It is really fantastic that Active East Herts was at the forefront of such a great initiative.”
