Event in townGlobal Games are one of the world’s biggest suppliers of Sport and Marketing games and attraction. I’m a big fan of the work that they do, and use their equipment whenever I’m organising a participation event. Here’s an example of how they helped Access Sport stage a brilliant event.

BRIEF
The Millennium Square hosted Sports Jam 2009 on behalf of Access Sport, the UK’s leading sports charity in partnership with Bristol City Council to stage a free, action packed, sporting spectacular.

OBJECTIVES
Sports Jam aims to get more young people involved in sports and find out more about their local clubs and provide opportunities for young people to try out a range of activities. The free event was suitable for all young people who had the chance to win prizes and meet Access Sport Ambassors.

Wheelchair basketballSOLUTION
The National Lottery Basketball court complete with hoops and backboards and the Target Cage. These were highly interactive and the experts were on hand to test their skills against the young people adding to a great atmosphere.

LOGISTICS
Staff arrived in Bristol at 9:30 am to set up prior the activities before the event kicked off. Following a fun filled day, the event closed at 4pm, leaving the team to pack up and depart.

STAFFING
Two members of the GlobalGamesSports Event staff worked closely with the team of volunteers and Rugby Coach to operate and encourage the visitors to participate on the games.
