Yorkshire Sport Foundation have a project called Creating Connections, which helps disabled people to get active. They have 3 officers working in the project, and they were spending about half their time working with partners (e.g. physios) to engage more disabled people, which meant they were spending about £40,000 a year on engagement. So James Brown from Yorkshire Sport Foundation asked us to run a Facebook Ad campaign to engage disabled people directly.
We’re running a few separate campaigns focusing on different conditions. This month we’re focused on Mental Health, including depression, dementia, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, and other conditions. I’ve attached screenshots of two of the ads so you can see what angles we’ve taken on this campaign.
So far the campaign is bringing in about 3 times as many enquiries as we were expecting, with over 100 enquiries in the first two months, which is awesome! This is awesome as they were only expecting 250 in a year!
We’re now running campaigns for sensory impairments (vision and hearing) plus physical impairments (e.g. Multiple Sclerosis, amputees).
